We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Storage Manager to oversee the daily operations of our storage facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient management of storage units, provide excellent customer service, and maintain the security and cleanliness of the facility. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage administrative and operational tasks effectively. Role includes onsite housing as part of compensation package.
Key Responsibilities: Operations & Facility Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the storage facility, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Manage facility maintenance, cleanliness, and security, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain high facility standards and address any repair needs.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and documentation of all facility activities.
Customer Service & Sales
- Assist customers with renting storage units, explaining policies, and handling inquiries.
- Maintain positive customer relationships and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Promote and upsell storage units and related services to maximize occupancy.
- Handle lease agreements, payment processing, and account management.
Security & Compliance
- Monitor security systems, access controls, and safety protocols to protect customer belongings.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations to maintain a secure environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Administrative & Financial Duties
- Maintain accurate records of rentals, payments, and customer accounts.
- Prepare financial reports, track revenue, and manage operational expenses.
- Assist with budget planning and cost control measures.
- Handle delinquent accounts and coordinate with collections when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Prior experience in facility management, property management, retail, or a related field preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional business or management training is a plus.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and handle conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in basic computer software, including Microsoft Office and facility management systems.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in an office and outdoor environment as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Flexible availability, including occasional weekends and holidays, as required.
