Dance Instructor

Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Dance Instructors to join our vibrant studio for the 2025/2026 season, but summer opportunities may be available as well! The ideal candidates will have a strong background in dance, ballet specifically is a plus, and experience working with children. These roles may involve teaching various dance styles, fostering a love for movement, and encouraging creativity among students of all ages. The Dance Instructors will play a crucial role in developing students' skills while ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.

Duties

• Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to the needs of students.
• Teach various dance styles ensuring proper technique and form.
• Create lesson plans that incorporate elements of theater and performance.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills.
• Organize and participate in recitals, performances, and other studio events.
• Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall curriculum.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming studio space for all students.

Skills

• Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and understanding.
• Background in theater or performing arts.
• Strong behavior management skills to effectively guide students.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus.
• Ability to work with special education students, adapting lessons as needed.
• A passion for dance with the ability to inspire others

Pay is based on experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 12 per week

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Dancing: 5 years (Required)
