Foreman/Estimator

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents.
• Utilize Bluebeam and other software tools to create accurate takeoffs and quantity surveys.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to understand project requirements and constraints.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive bids.
• Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to maintain cost control and identify potential savings.
• Provide support during the bidding process, including preparing bid packages and responding to inquiries from bidders.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, change orders, and correspondence related to projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam or similar estimating software is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cost control methods and practices within the construction industry.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
• Familiarity with project management processes and tools is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
