Reports To ABC Tx Gulf Coast President/CEO
Major Functions
Complete accounting of three entities – Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc., Merit Shop Training, Inc., and Brazosport Safety Council, Inc.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant located in Freeport, TX. The Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks, including preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable/receivable, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Specific Duties will also include:
- Maintain General Ledger
- Prepare Daily Deposits
- Balance and Post Credit Card Activity
- Balance Monthly Statements
- Track CD’s & MM accounts
- Assist in Preparation of Annual Budgets
- Prepare and Assist in Annual Audit
- Prepare and Track Membership Dues for ABC & BSC
- Report and Track PAC Contributions
- Required Financial Reporting to Third Parties
- Supervise Bookkeeper
Qualifications
- Financial Analysis and Reporting skills
- Experience with Accounts Payable/Receivable
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred
- CPA certification is a plus
