Assistant Teacher

We are looking to hire an energetic, creative and caring teacher to assistant in our preschool classroom.

This includes meeting all of the needs of the children in the center, assisting the lead teacher, and ensuring children are having fun while in the center.

Applicants must be willing to lead children in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment that promotes social and emotional growth, learning, and healthy lifestyle habits. The position includes daily light cleaning as well as daily curriculum and activity planning for children preschool-aged children as well as school-aged children enrolled in day camp programming.

Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks. Must have basic computer knowledge. Customer service skills required, as well as the ability to manage payment transactions. Must be willing to play with and engage with the children.

Responsibilities:
Willingness to HAVE FUN, playing!
Assist the Lead Teacher in creating and executing circle time, lesson plans & art/science projects that correlate with weekly and monthly themes.
Implement a monthly play-based, child-directed program.
Maintain center cleanliness standards.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats.
Ability to demonstrate warmth and empathy for adults and children.
CPR/First Aid certified (required).
Must pass a state and local background check.
Mandated Reporter Training (required)
Must be comfortable in a busy environment and a self-starter.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
