What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Engineer position at ABCO Automation Inc.?
Our ideal candidate will have a background / experience in custom automation engineering, concepting, and be able to research and quote concepts for our customers. Being a creative problem solver, have the ability to communicate with staff and customers on quoted concepts and dive into quoting concepts are a must.
Major Accountabilities :
- Prepares estimates by projecting the costs associated with a project or machine, with an emphasis on accuracy and ensuring profitability of projects.
- Visits customers and provides technical support to sales to facilitate closing business.
- Provides documentation that will support the estimate.
- Provide an accurate description of quoted concepts and attend contract review and acceptance meetings, if appropriate.
- Generates or assists engineering with the conceptual design of a project or machine.
- Communicates with vendors and customers and all levels of staff.
- Maintains and make recommendations for improvements to estimating procedures and methods.
