A Day in the Life of a Branch Manager

Under the supervision of the Branch Operations Manager, you will effectively and efficiently oversee all aspects of the daily branch operations. Branch Managers perform all MSR (Member Service Representative) functions and assists in resolving complex member related issues. Supervisory tasks include but are not limited to actively engaging in employee training and development and culture change initiatives, conducting employee performance appraisals and taking disciplinary action as needed. Continuously maintains a high level of respect and control in all situations

You consistently meet or exceed branch operational expectations, both through your own hands-on efforts and how you inspire your team to carry out ABCO's mission. You take great satisfaction in making sure your branch exemplifies ABCO's set of core values, which are Respect, Accessibility, Integrity, Security and Exceptional Service (RAISE).

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required;
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred;
  • 5 or more years of experience required in a financial institution branch environment; preferably in a supervisory, or head/lead position;
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred;
  • Must be decisive and possess critical thinking skills;
  • Highly organized and efficient;
  • Must be proficient in PC applications (Word, Outlook);
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and typical banking/point of sale software;
  • Valid, unexpired driver's license with no major violations;
  • NMLS license required;
  • Notary Public license required;

Top-performing Branch Managers have superior leadership, team building, analytical, and strategic planning skills. They possess effective coaching and mentoring techniques that ensure their team members are not only skilled and knowledgeable, but also motivated and engaged.

Branch Managers must be friendly and personable with a strong sense of integrity and the ability to earn the trust of members, colleagues, and vendors alike.

This full time salaried position is 40 hours per week. Rotating Saturdays required. Flexibility is a must! ABCO offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401 (k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, and credit union membership.

Our branch hours are : Monday through Friday: 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Our Saturday hours are: 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
