What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orientation Coordinator position at ABCO?
**Key Responsibilities**
- Working with recruiting team and managing new hire orientation schedule.
- Confirming training via computer, phone and online meeting platform
- Conducting onboard presentation with individual new hires.
- Conducting onsite company overview and equipment and systems training.
- Coordinating new hire set up with HR and Payroll departments
- Coordinating with Safety department on new hire evaluations and required testing
- Assisting Safety Department with various safety related functions that may include data entry, vehicle inspections, and skill assessment tests.
- Coordinating with operations management related to supervisor and equipment assignments.
- Shuttling new hires to and from hotel/rental car.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, writing, on the phone, in a clear and highly professional manner.
- Ability to learn and understand new systems to thoroughly train new hires.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and outstanding positive attitude at all time.
- Ability to present overview material virtually or in person in a clear, professional and informative manner.
- Ability to adhere to all company, state and federal regulations, policies and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of DOT, FMSCA regulations preferred
- Clean driver license.
**Qualifications**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Training/ instructing experience preferred.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and web-based applications.
- Basic knowledge of DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations preferred.
