We're Hiring: CAD/BIM Estimator – Structured Cabling

ABcom is a national low voltage structured cabling contractor, and we’re looking for a CAD and BIM-savvy Estimator / Project Engineer to join our team!
Do you have experience designing structured cabling systems using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks? Are you comfortable working alongside GCs and trades to develop and coordinate BIM models? This role is perfect for someone who can translate job site data into clean designs and accurate estimates.
🧠 What You’ll Do:
- Create and manage structured cabling CAD drawings and BIM models
- Perform takeoffs, develop bills of material, and use Accubid for estimating
- Participate in site walks and BIM coordination meetings
- Collaborate with sales, project managers, and customers to support preconstruction and proposal development
🛠️ Your Skills:
- 2 years in low-voltage or MEP CAD/BIM work
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks
- Strong understanding of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, NEC, Division 27)
- Bonus: RCDD or BICSI credentials
