What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Manager - Independent Hotels position at ABD Creative?
ABD Creative is hiring a temporary "Marketing Manager - Independent Hotels" with room to grow into a full time role this year, to drive results for our hospitality clients in the areas of social media, email marketing, copywriting, and content creation.
Marketing Manager Responsibilities
- Execute on hotel marketing strategy for multiple independent hotels
- Comb through existing assets to select imagery that tells a story
- Create graphics in Canva following existing brand standards
- Create reels to share seasonal offers, experiences, and amenities on a weekly basis
- Complete thorough, daily social media engagement checklist
- Complete monthly audits of marketing channels to ensure info is accurate (web, email, social)
- Engage with social media brand partners
- Organize and assist in administrative tasks (ie. photo organization)
- Manage workload as part of our small marketing team, using trusted systems
- Communicate clearly and concisely both internally and with hotel managers
- Participate in social media content shoots (commit to the bit)
Marketing Manager - Hotels Qualifications
- Must have two years of hotel marketing experience since 2020
- Must take pride of ownership in hotel clients, driven to see them succeed
- Must be available to work Monday - Friday from April 1st - June 30th
- Advanced Instagram user, ability to find/save trending sounds/templates, post to Stories
- Ability to turn existing content into carousels and reels
- Ability to carry out brand guides/standards on social media Stories, Facebook events, and in feed
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong grasp of the English language
- Ability to get to know a hotel, it's audience, it's neighborhoods, and it's on-site team
- Ability to spot and share trends, memes, and trending audio, internally
- High-level of organization and attention to detail
- Acts like a team member - willing to lend a hand, not solely focused on your own work load
- Acts like a hotel marketing manager - thinking holistically about cross-channel marketing, not in a silo
- Marketing, English, or design degree preferred, but not required
- Love for hotels, marketing, and social media (yes, all three)
- Eye for photography, video, and graphics/fonts
- Very experienced Canva user
- Experience with Later or other social media scheduling tool a must
- Experience in email platforms like Mailchimp and Revinate, a plus
- Experience with Asana or other project management tool, a plus
- Self-motivated, driven to succeed
- Sense of urgency
- Sense of humor
