Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large group of diverse and high-impact commodities spanning across multiple regions. This includes leading a team of Commodity Specialists, negotiating key suppliers, resolving escalated supplier issues, implementing value improvement opportunities, and developing procurement strategies that align with global supply chain goals.
Key responsibilities include managing escalated supplier reviews, delivering supplier performance metrics to upper management, developing supply chain risk mitigation plans, serving as a project manager on cross-functional projects, leading in contract negotiations for assigned suppliers or indirect commodities, and implementing continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency in the procurement process.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 10 years' experience in purchasing/commodity goods management and 2 years experience creating procurement strategy. Experience with/knowledge of Facilities and Capital Equipment Procurement is a must. Your skills include negotiation skills, certification a plus, cross-functional team leadership, high-performing work team skills, solid knowledge of financial principles related to budgeting, make vs buy analysis, and gross margin impact. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance or related field, MBA or Masters preferred.
