Workers' Compensation Attorney (Claimant)

Location : Richmond, VA

Organization : Injured Workers' Law Firm

Status : Full-Time | Exempt

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Workers' Compensation Attorney to represent clients in Virginia workers' compensation cases. This role involves managing case files, advising clients, drafting legal documents, negotiating settlements, and representing clients at hearings and trials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle workers' compensation cases from start to finish.
  • Evaluate claims, provide legal advice, and draft legal documents.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, adjusters, and medical providers.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients at hearings and mediations.
  • Supervise team members and oversee case management.

Qualifications

  • Education : Juris Doctor degree (Required).
  • Experience : Prior experience in workers' compensation preferred.
  • Proficiency in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Virginia workers' compensation laws.
  • Leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and case management tools like Neos.
