The Intake Specialist is the initial connection for most prospective clients. The Intake Specialist takes a targeted approach to client recruitment by ensuring that prospective clients are informed of the inspHire program offerings and converting program applicants into enrolled clients. By exhibiting superior customer services skills, emotional intelligence, and professionalism, the Intake Specialist establishes, develops, and maintains positive interactions with prospective clients, determines candidate eligibility, gathers required documentation, completes/orders a background check, facilitates logistics for transitioning, and schedules eligible candidates for the inspHire Program Orientation session.
Job Duties:
Initial Entry Support – Presents, promotes, informs and addresses inquiries regarding the inspHire Program to interested candidates. When appropriate, refers interested candidates to other supporting agencies more suited to the candidate’s needs. Clearly communicates, connects with, and confirms candidate’s attendance before scheduled Orientation session. Administers pre-program drug screenings for new candidates.
Client Support - Conduct Records’ Review Workshops with enrolled clients teaching clients to read their background reports. Coordinates, arranges, and transports, in company vehicle, new clients from the identified, authorized location to Abe Brown Ministries’ office, Hillsborough County Reentry Center, probation office, and/or transitional housing facility upon release. Please note, some clients are released outside of normal office hours and will require some early morning, nightly, and weekend hours worked.
Community Partnership – Understands the re-entry population and pursues opportunities through supportive and available community services to facilitate client transition. Develops and maintains collaborative and cooperative relationships with probation officers, release/classification officers, and transitional housing partners thereby facilitating the enrolled client’s transition.
Administrative – Meticulously enters data and consistently maintains records, documentation, case files, and produce reports in our Efforts-to-Outcomes data system.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred.
- At least two years human services experience.
- Comfort in using computers and learning new software.
- Experience working with the underserved and persons in crisis.
- Strong documentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to establish rapport.
- Ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally diverse families and communities with the ability to culturally sensitive and appropriate.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality involving both clients and fellow employees.
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.
- Maintain professional appearance and comply with company dress code.
Pay Range
USD $17.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.Salary : $17 - $20
