Position Summary
As an ABEC Mechanical Assembler you will assemble, pieces or products using a variety or tools and equipment according to required specifications.
Responsibilities
Ø Strong attention to detail and accuracy in fabrication process.
Ø Knowledge of all types of hand tools, fabricating equipment, measuring devices.
Ø Work on stainless steel fabrication, including to but not limited to:
Ø Inspect and maintain proper and safe operation of all shop equipment.
Ø Conduct operations in a safe manner.
Ø Execute other tasks as assigned.
Ø Ability to travel when required.
Qualifications
Ø Junior certificate or equivalent.
Ø Trade qualification (Pipe fitter / Plumber) would be a distinct advantage.
Ø Experience in working with Stainless Steel, tanks, piping and vessels would be beneficial
Ø Ability to read tape measure and perform simple mathematical equations.
Ø Aptitude with blueprint reading.
Ø Proficient with the use of hand tools and basic fabrication tools.
Ø Typical work is in a manufacturing environment or customer’s site.
