3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsDirect message the job poster from Abeita & Associates Behavioral ServicesDirector Of Operations at Abeita & Associates Job Title : Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)Reports to : OWNER - Dr. Brad Silverman, Ph.D., BCBAJob Type : Full-TimeJob Summary : The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and behavioral support programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring challenging behaviors. Working closely with staff, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams, the BCBA will ensure that behavior interventions are evidence-based, person-centered, and designed to improve the quality of life for residents.Key Responsibilities : Behavioral Assessment : Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and other necessary assessments to determine the root causes of challenging behaviors and develop appropriate intervention strategies.Behavior Intervention Plan Development : Design, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that address challenging behaviors, enhance skills development, and promote positive outcomes for residents.Staff Training and Support : Provide ongoing training and consultation to direct care staff on the implementation of behavior intervention plans, data collection methods, and appropriate behavioral strategies.Data Collection and Analysis : Ensure accurate and timely data collection on residents' behaviors, track progress, and make data-driven decisions to adjust behavior plans as needed.Crisis Management : Assist with crisis intervention, including providing de-escalation support, and developing and revising crisis intervention plans (CIPs).Collaboration and Communication : Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychologists, nurses, physicians, and other professionals to provide holistic care. Maintain regular communication with family members and guardians regarding progress and behavior management strategies.Compliance and Documentation : Ensure that all behavior support plans comply with state regulations, ethical standards of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), and the specific requirements of the residential home or day program. Document progress, interventions, and any necessary reports.Client-Centered Programming : Promote resident independence by teaching functional skills, including communication, social interaction, and self-care strategies.Requirements : Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and experience working in residential or day program settings.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, staff, and families.Proficient in data collection, analysis, and behavior plan development.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Familiarity with state regulations and compliance requirements for applicable settings.Willingness to obtain supervisor status with the BACB for potential supervision of RBTs.Location : There are two positions open; La Mesa, CA and Escondido, CA.This position is hybrid remote.Compensation : $45 per hour (negotiable depending on education and experience).
