What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at Abel Construction?
Heavy Equipment Operators will be responsible for the following duties:
:Operate heavy equipment in compliance w/ company's operating safety policies and procedures
: Ensure company equipment and material is maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manor
: Check all fluids and grease equipment
: Conduct preoperational safety checks on equipment
: Utilize various pieces of equipment to preform fine grading and finishing, sloping and banking, backfilling, demolition, trenching, loading, excavating, and stock piling material
: This job is not fork lift, printing press, machine shop oriented it is excavation field oriented
Required Work Experience:
: Potential candidates must poses 2 yrs work experience in operation of construction equipment, pay rate will vary depending on experience from above pay, low amount for little to no experience and high amount for many many years of experience
: Pipe and dirt work experience preferred
: High school diploma or ged preferred but not necessary
: Class C license minimum is required
