Abel Lumber & Door is currently accepting applications to fill an opening for a Project Manager. We are a thriving company that has gone from $0 - 8 million in 3 years. We are looking for highly motivated and very skilled people to fulfill the roles at our company. We hire on integrity and work ethic first. We can train the right people. Some of our best employees came from unrelated fields (teachers, project managers, cashiers, etc).
HOWEVER, I will lean heavily towards someone with work experience in doors and trim. I am not opposed to someone working remotely after training has been completed. Our offices are located in Gainesville, TX and we serve all of DFW market.
This job responsibility is as follows:
This job will be managing the orders we receive for doors and trim on new residential homes. This job will require 80% office, 20% field ratio.
We pride ourselves on communication so in person meetings and phone calls need to be something you're good at. This job is a lot of phone/email work. But we try very hard to stay personal with our clients.
With that being said tone is huge at our company. Tone conveys mood and we always try to take very professional and peaceful tone with each other and with our clients. Job Details:
- Communication with customers, internal staff & vendors to fulfill orders.
- Communication with manufacturing team for timely production.
- Planning skills for the support you receive from door walkers and delivery team.
- Communicate with accounting to verify all work was invoiced.
- Follow up with customers for payment approvals.
- Modify work schedules in the calendar as project deadlines are adjusted.
- Develop bids for customer.
- Identify and resolve issues as they arise.
- Review the Bill of Materials from customers and ensure that the orders match prior to delivery.
- Manage relationships with customers and vendors.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Self-starter.
- Prioritize workloads daily.
- Meet builders in the field and get to know their sites/project.
- Visit Purchasing Managers at their office to develop strong relationships.
