Job Title : Project & Engineering Lead
Location : Fort Huachuca, AZ
Overview :
Abel Personnel is assisting its client in hiring a Project & Engineering Lead in Fort Huachuca, AZ . This role is responsible for overseeing and managing enterprise IT projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and successful project execution . The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, project management expertise, and technical engineering experience to support critical DoD initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :
Oversee and manage all Project & Engineering tasks and deliverables , including :Common Support, Army Golden Master (AGM), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
Desktop Collaboration, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Directory and Identity Synchronization Services (DISS)Enterprise Directory Services & Authentication (EDS&A), Global Enterprise Fabric (GEF)Network Management Systems (NMS), Virtualization & Containerization, Network SustainmentPrivileged Access, LAN / WAN Management, Storage & Backup, and Database SupportLead high-level systems analysis, design, integration, and implementation of complex applications.Direct and participate in all phases of system development , including planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing, and acceptance (IV&V, DT&E) .Develop automated engineering solutions to solve technical challenges.Prepare and deliver technical reports, documentation, and presentations .Serve as Task Leader , ensuring high-quality services and deliverables.Provide risk management analysis , problem resolution, and performance tracking.Communicate effectively with stakeholders, military personnel, and government leadership .Required Qualifications :
Active Top-Secret clearance (required).One or more of the following security certifications :CISSP, CASP , CCSP, CEH, CISA, CISM, CySA , GCED, GCSA, GSEC, Security , SSCP (or equivalent).
One or more of the following project / engineering certifications :ITIL 4 Foundation, PMP, CSEP, Practice Manager, Managing Professional, Strategic Leader, Master Project Management Professional.
12 years of experience in IT project management, enterprise engineering, and cybersecurity .Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.Advanced expertise in program & project management , following PMBOK and industry best practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools , including Word, Excel, Teams, Project, and PowerPoint.Strong leadership, risk assessment, and communication skills for high-level government briefings.Work Environment & Physical Demands :
Location : Fort Huachuca, AZ.Work Schedule : Monday – Friday (day shift); occasional evening / weekend work as needed.Travel : Less than 10%.Physical Requirements : Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, or kneeling required.Why Apply?
