Job Title : Senior IT Operations Lead
Location : Sierra Vista, AZ (Fort Huachuca)
Overview :
Abel Personnel is assisting its client in hiring a Senior IT Operations Lead in Sierra Vista, AZ . This role is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and tracking IT operations, ensuring compliance with Army and DoD policies , and managing enterprise IT projects . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT service management, cybersecurity, and project leadership .

Key Responsibilities :
Oversee IT operations, ensuring compliance with Army Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS) Management, DoDIN-A Change Advisory Board, and DoDIN-A Operations Compliance .Lead teams in cybersecurity, IT service design, delivery, and improvement initiatives .Act as a single point of contact for assigned projects, managing development from concept to implementation.Define project scope, work plans, schedules, resource planning, and tracking .Conduct project meetings and oversee analysis, ensuring adherence to quality standards.Provide technical and analytical guidance to the project team.Manage vendor deliverables and integration with enterprise IT services.Perform risk management analysis , problem resolution, and proactive IT operations monitoring.Ensure effective communication and reporting across all stakeholders.Required Qualifications :
Active Top-Secret clearance (required).One or more of the following security certifications :CISSP, CASP , CCSP, CEH, CISA, CISM, CySA , GCED, GSEC, Security (or equivalent).
One or more of the following IT / project management certifications :ITIL 4 Foundation, PMP, Practice Manager, Managing Professional, Strategic Leader, Master Project Management Professional.
12 years of IT experience , with a focus on enterprise IT operations, cybersecurity, and compliance .Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.Strong experience in project and program management , following PMBOK and industry best practices.Expertise in risk analysis, IT service management, and stakeholder communication .Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools , including Word, Excel, Teams, Project, and PowerPoint.Work Environment & Physical Demands :
Location : Sierra Vista, AZ (Fort Huachuca).Work Schedule : Monday – Friday (day shift); occasional evening / weekend work as needed.Travel : Less than 10%.Physical Requirements : Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, or kneeling required.Why Apply?
