Retail - Equipment Operator / Loader
Abell Nursery & Landscape is one of South Central Indiana's largest Retail Garden Centers. Abell Nursery supplies local residents and businesses with the highest quality landscape materials including plants, stones, and bulk materials. The Equipment Operator / Loader position works exclusively at the Garden Center to serve customers and maintain the retail beds. As part of the retail team, the Equipment Operator will be expected to be professional and friendly with customers, maintaining caution with equipment at all times and courtesy with the rest of the retail team.
Responsibilities will primarily include, but are not limited to: loading large plants and bulk materials for clients using a suite of equipment (Bobcat, Toro Dingo, 4x4, tree dolly, etc), keeping retail beds stocked with healthy material, organizing landscape materials going to and coming back from jobs etc.
Additional responsibilities may include herbicide application, running deliveries, general clean up, servicing irrigation, potting, etc.
Applicants with prior heavy equipment experience will be preferred. While the schedule is flexible, Ideal applicants will be seeking full time work (40 hours/week) and have Saturday availability. Position requires applicant to be timely, dependable, honest, cautious, professional, and friendly.
