Dispensing Audiologist
Summary: Our audiology practice will be partnering with an otolaryngology practice to provide audiology services (diagnostics and hearing aid dispensing) for their practice. The audiologist will have a significant degree of autonomy and will report to Aberdeen Audiology’s chief audiologist and be employed by the audiology practice.
Primary duties
· Establish rapport and gather history from patients, conduct audiometric testing, and make recommendations for hearing aids
· Provide counseling and care which delights the patients
· Perform diagnostics (At a minimum: pure tone, conduction, speech in noise, etc. Experience with VNG, ABR, and ECoG a plus)
· Make ear impressions and ear molds, order instruments
· Program and fit hearing aids and assist with any adjustments, questions or problems
· Provides appropriate validation and verification of hearing aids
· Dispense accessories including, special products, ALD'S, or any other product available through practice
· Report patient test results to originating referral source or appropriate staff member for tracking and documentation
· Maintain all clinical records and charts as specified by practice management
· Support clinic operations by conducting quality control analysis of incoming hearing aids and maintenance of test areas, equipment and supplies
· Achieve the clinical operational variables and the monthly and annual goals

Skills & Abilities
· Demonstrated proficiency in hearing aid dispensing to include programmable hearing aids of major manufacturers

· Must be proficient with PCs and conventional software packages as well as programming software
· Collaborate with referring otolaryngologist in the diagnosis and care of patients
· Ability to manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic independently
Education / Experience
Required:
· Doctorate in Audiology
· Pennsylvania state license in audiology
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
