About the Department
Within our Technology function, we are transitioning to a Product Model following a period of large-scale transformation. As part of this evolution, we have established a Platforms & Engineering team within Enterprise Services. This team encompasses our cloud Data Platform, API and Integration Team, DevSecOps, and Enterprise Automation.
The Data Platform Team plays a key role in bridging the gap between business and data, leveraging a Data Mesh architecture to foster a federated model of data development, delivery, and ownership. Our platform integrates cutting-edge technologies, including Azure, dbt, and Snowflake, to enable a self-service data ecosystem.
About the Role
As a Data Platform Engineer, you will help design, implement, and manage a decentralized data architecture based on the principles of Data Mesh. Your role will involve building platform capabilities that empower domain teams to autonomously own, access, and manage their data.
Using technologies like Snowflake, dbt, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Fabric, you will ensure the platform remains scalable, secure, and high-performing, while maintaining governance across a distributed data landscape.

About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Experience
Familiarity with Data Mesh principles and decentralized data architectures.
Proven expertise with cloud technologies, including Snowflake, Azure, and dbt.
Skills and Knowledge
Competency in scripting languages such as SQL, PowerShell, and Python.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline management and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance standards.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
A continuous learning mindset and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
