Dental Assistant: Full Time

We are looking for a Dental Assistant who is patient-focused and wants to be part of a team that has a passion for dentistry. The assistant will ensure excellent customer service and assist the dentist with daily chairside and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should be well-organized with great attention to detail. Understanding and adhering to rules and regulations of the industry is a must. We are looking for experience with positive patient care and completing procedures to increase efficiency within the office.

Excellent benefits package. MD X-Ray certification required.

Schedule: M-Th.

Responsibilities

• Seats patients in treatment rooms
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed for each procedure
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Complete equipment maintenance as needed
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the treatment rooms clean and well-stocked
• Schedule appointments & post patient treatment
• Take quality diagnostic x-rays
• Take preliminary impressions

Skills

• Proven experience as dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• Open to learning new techniques
