What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lowboy Driver position at Abernethy Contracting?
DESCRIPTION
Abernethy Contracting is seeking a Lowboy Driver. The ideal candidate will, at a minimum:
- Drive and haul material AND equipment.
- Follow all DOT Regulations.
- Perform truck inspections and conduct preventative maintenance.
- Track and document activities.
- Use mobile phone with GPS.
- Follow all safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively.
- Respect and follow leadership and directions from supervisor.
- Treat co-workers, subcontractors and customers with respect and professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Three to five years of experience in commercial driving, with construction experience a plus.
- Must have experience with the following: Oversize Hauling, Paving Equipment and Dirt Equipment.
- Ability to work at high production rates.
- Must possess a Class A Drivers License.
- Possess a DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to pass Clearing House Screening.
- Ability to pass DOT Drug and Alcohol Screening.
- Commitment to safe work practices.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Seven-day availability if needed.
