Shipping and Receiving

Job Overview:

Coordinate shipping and receiving of materials for warehouse, manufacturing plant and MRO materials and processes shipping and receiving documents using WMS system with an emphasis on safety, inventory accuracy, visual standards and housekeeping.

Requirements

· Ability to safely and efficiently operate forklifts, powered pallet jacks and other material handling equipment

· Computer skills including Excel, Bartender and SAP Business One a plus

· Ability to work in a high energy warehousing environment

· Ability to understand principles of continuous improvement

· Possess strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to use all types of hand tools.

· Possess a working knowledge of cycle counting for inventory accuracy

· Accurately enter, view and verify data using various computer programs

Roles & Responsibility

Contact trucking lines, customers, and internal support to schedule pickups and deliveries

· Locates, picks, packs and moves materials using material handling equipment

· Load and unload trucks

· Maintain neat and organized storage areas ensuring accurate inventory management

· Complete cycle counts and cycle counting documents for review and clearing

· Help train new employees and provide feedback to manager

· Be a proactive participant of continuous improvement activities

· Performs all tasks necessary for both inbound and outbound order processing

· Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

· High School diploma or General Education Degree

· Previous experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred

· Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, and/or reaching

· Always adhere to safe material handling practices

· Overtime may be required at times

· Basic reading, writing and math skills

· Moderate physical demand: often lifting/moving average weight (25 to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs), and occasionally lifting heavy weight materials (up to 70 lbs)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
