Job Description: Senior Power BI Specialist Location: Walnut Creek, CA/Reno, NV Duration: Fulltime (W2 Only) Client: Direct Reports to Director of Analytics
We are seeking a Senior Power BI Specialist who is not only an expert in hands-on Power BI development but also has the ability to think strategically and deliver actionable insights. This role requires someone who can go beyond coding, understand the broader business context (ideally 3PL), and transform data into meaningful stories that drive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy advanced Power BI dashboards and reports with a focus on usability and performance.
Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that align with business goals.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
Think beyond technical execution provide strategic insights and recommendations based on analysis.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security within Power BI solutions.
Stay updated on Power BI advancements and best practices to continuously enhance reporting capabilities.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a senior Power BI developer with a strong portfolio of impactful dashboards and reports.
Deep understanding of Power BI architecture, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
Ability to see the "big picture" of how Power BI fits into broader business processes and goals.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
Excellent communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
