Senior Electrical Engineer - Baltimore, MD
ABGI Talent Solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a well-established MEP engineering firm in the Mid-Atlantic region. This role involves working on projects in healthcare, telecommunications, higher education, research laboratories, government, and mission-critical data center environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design for healthcare, data centers, and institutional facilities
- Develop conceptual designs based on client meetings and project requirements
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates
- Conduct field inspections and site surveys to ensure compliance and quality standards
- Respond to RFPs and develop project proposals
- Represent the company in client meetings
- Utilize AutoCAD (required) and Revit (preferred)
- Perform fault/coordination and arc flash studies using SKM Power Tools (preferred)
- Support lighting design using industry software (preferred)
Qualifications:
- 8-20 years of electrical engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland (required)
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearances
- Experience with UPS, generators, switchgear, fire alarm, and security systems
- Strong project management and communication skills
Work Environment:
- 70-80% office-based design work, with 20-30% field survey and coordination
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and roofs
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
