Abhaya Wellness is a clinically owned and operated psychotherapy office that believes in supporting and creating systems of care for individuals, groups, families, and couples on their path of wellness.
Our client base is growing and we’re looking for a Clinical Therapist to join our team. All team members at Abhaya Wellness must commit to engaging in a daily mindfulness practice as it is a key component of our program.
Our office runs Gender Responsive Substance Use IOP groups and Clinical Therapists work as a team to facilitate group therapy and provide individual and/or family therapy to participants of the IOP groups.
Clinical Therapists are Independent Contractors and will be responsible for all taxes in accordance with that. As Independent Contractors, Clinicians will produce a detailed invoice for services rendered in order to receive reimbursement at an agreed upon rate.
We offer a transparent and competitive pay structure for our Contract Therapists that allows our team to prioritize a healthy work/life balance! Rates range from $75 - $115 per clinical contact hour depending on the number of client contact hours performed.
Position Requirements
- Perform individual/family therapy
- Lead group therapy sessions, and facilitate group discussions within IOP as needed (minimum of one per week).
- Conduct consultations and assessments with prospective clients.
- Obtain necessary information and documentation from clients and obtain signatures on consent forms.
- Develop treatment plans for clients which outline goals.
- Review and edit treatment plans as indicated by current company policies.
- Keep detailed records in EHR system in accordance with current company policies (including, but not limited to, progress notes, treatment plans, contact notes, discharge plans, etc.).
- Collect stated copays and coinsurance at time of service from OP clients.
- Coordinate with Director of Programs and Clinical Director to determine program needs.
- Utilize an integrative care model to collaborate with other therapists, physicians, support staff, etc. to provide comprehensive coordination of care.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment within the group practice.
- Stay current with developments in the field through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Coordinate with Client Care Coordinator as needed to ensure a positive overall experience for clients.
- Coordinate with CFO to ensure client financial obligations are well communicated and executed.
- Attend events and trainings as instructed by leadership team or as professional interests dictate.
Professional Requirements
- A Master’s or Doctorate level degree in psychology, clinical social work, counseling, or a related field.
- Current North Carolina State Licensure or certification to act as a therapist.
- Clinical experience and expertise in group therapy.
- At least one expressed specialty: anxiety, trauma, depression, substance abuse, etc.
- Experience working in a group practice or multidisciplinary healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively lead and facilitate group therapy sessions with clients and work collegiately with co-workers/treatment teams.
- Willingness to engage in daily mindfulness practices.
