Our experienced crews work on water-based and inland projects across the country, specializing in barge operations, infrastructure support, and heavy equipment services. We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Crane/Boat/Equipment Operator to join our team for a project in Winona, MN. The majority of the work will be performed seasonally between April 1st to November 30th in 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027. Year-round work may be available, but will require travel.

Candidates must be team-oriented and willing to take on additional job site responsibilities such as scaffolding, abrasive blasting, painting, and general labor when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate barge-mounted and land-based cranes for lifting, setting, and material handling
- Pilot and maintain workboats or small tugs for barge movement and transport
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, and forklifts
- Assist with:
- Scaffolding and access systems
- Abrasive blasting and surface prep
- Industrial painting and coating applications
- Rigging and general labor
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on all equipment and rigging
- Uphold job site safety, environmental, and quality standards
- NCCCO crane operator certification (required) and a minimum of one year crane operator experience
- Experience in marine or river work preferred
- Boat handling experience is a plus (willing to train)
- Willingness to assist with labor-intensive tasks outside of equipment operation
- Welding experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
- Ability to travel and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to pass Workwell test and meet minimum required lifting requirements
- Ability to pass drug test
- Experience using fall protection
- Be able to work on a US Army Corps of Engineers dam jobsite
- Strong work ethic and a positive, team-focused attitude
