Position Title : REVENUE CYCLE COORDINATOR
Reports to : REVENUE CYCLE DIRECTOR
General Description the Revenue Cycle Coordinator is responsible for executing the different functions of the Revenue Management Department as directed by departmental leadership.
Tasks & Responsibilities
A. Essential Duties
1. Compiling requested medical records and promptly submitting them to requesting carriers.
2. Recording and monitoring all relevant records requests, with diligent follow-up with insurance
carriers as required.
3. Ensure timely communication with insurance carriers post-record submission to verify receipt and
resend if applicable.
4. Serving as a liaison between Administrative, Operations and Clinical departments as necessary to
acquire requested information.
5. Managing the patient collection process to ensure timely and effective payment collection.
6. Providing client-facing billing support, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
7. Assisting with the payment posting process to maintain accurate financial records.
8. Offering assistance in various capacities within the Revenue Management Department as needed.
9. Providing administrative support to the billing and utilization review department as necessary.
10. Conducting periodic checks on census eligibility to ensure billing accuracy.
11. Conducting outreach for self-pay patient payment collections.
12. Generating patient statements on a monthly basis to facilitate billing transparency and
accountability.
13. Follow up with insurance companies on outstanding claims in accounts receivable to ensure timely
adjudication.
14. Follow up with insurance companies on claims repricing as applicable to ensure accurate
processing.
B. Additional Duties
1. Assists and covers other staff when necessary to maintain high productivity and efficiency in the
department.
2. As the company continues to grow, additional responsibilities that are essential for the department to
be successful will be assigned accordingly.
