Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and policies that align with regulatory standards. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and health within the organization.
Duties
- Develop and implement safety training programs for employees, focusing on first aid, CPR, and occupational health practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and EHS standards.
- Assist in the investigation of workplace incidents, performing root cause analysis to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workers' compensation laws and EPA regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and safety protocols.
- Provide guidance on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety measures.
- Prepare reports on safety performance metrics and present findings to management.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding safety concerns, providing support for reporting unsafe conditions.
Experience
- Proven experience in a safety-related role, with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and EHS practices.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and occupational health standards.
- Experience in training development related to safety practices is highly desirable.
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, or similar credentials is preferred.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels regarding safety initiatives.

- Knowledgeable in Microsoft software

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $64,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
