Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status and medical history.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition to the appropriate medical staff.
- Educate patients and their families about health management, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Stay updated on medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy to provide informed patient care.
Experience
- A valid NJ or multi-state nursing license is required for this position.
- Previous experience in a clinical or med-surg hospital setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical documentation systems and electronic health records is advantageous.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
