We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Care Provider to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to pets, ensuring their well-being and comfort. As a Pet Care Provider, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for all animals in your care.
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, particularly with larger animals or equipment.
- Handle various types of animals, including dogs and equines, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain cleanliness of animal living spaces
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
- Engage with pets through play and socialization to promote their mental well-being.
- Provide pet sitting services as needed, ensuring pets receive consistent care in their home environment.
Requirements
- Experience in animal handling is required; familiarity with equine care is a plus.
- Previous work in veterinary settings or as a veterinary technician is advantageous.
- Strong skills in pet grooming and general pet care practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
- A compassionate attitude towards animals and a commitment to their welfare.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays if needed.
