We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being during walks. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple dogs at once. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy spending time outdoors and have experience in animal care.

Duties

• Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialization.
• Monitor the behavior and health of each dog during walks, reporting any concerns to the owner.
• Maintain control of dogs at all times, utilizing proper handling techniques to ensure safety.
• Provide basic training commands during walks to reinforce good behavior.
• Clean up after dogs and dispose of waste properly.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and behavior.
• Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate clients' needs, including early mornings or evenings.

Skills

• Experience in animal care, including roles such as Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant.
• Knowledge of dog handling techniques and training methods.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
• Ability to manage multiple dogs simultaneously while maintaining control.
• Experience with pet sitting or working in a kennel environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with equine care can be beneficial for those who may handle larger animals as well.
