Abilene Childcare Learning Center 2, is looking for a part time floater/Food Service Specialist substitute.

Floater Position:
This position is for a qualified floater and cook sub for the main cook as needed. The floater position for a few days a week to help with chores, staff breaks and occasionally work afternoons.
Substitute Position for FSS duties:
This position is for a substitute if the main cook is absent. Hours would be 8:00-2:00. Normal daily schedule would be: start the day at ACLC-2, 8:00-8:30 prepare breakfast (clean after breakfast) then prepare lunch for both centers then transport main dish to ACLC 1 at 11:10. At ACLC 1: Take food temp, disperse food to classes, complete posted kitchen chore list, prepare next days breakfast and hand them to staff to put away. Return to ACCL 2 to finish kitchen chore list and prep for the next days meal.
Requirements for ability to give breaks for teachers include: Physical, TB Skin Test, KBI background check, complete trainings required for licensing and have a minimum of 6 months experience with Infants, Toddlers and Preschool age to qualify as a floater and be solely responsible for children in the classrooms.
For FSS Substitute: CACFP Training, Food Safety Basics Training.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare breakfast for previous day, help prepare lunch and snack and transport to ACLC.
- Follow Abilene Childcare Learning Center, Inc. and CACFP procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all state and federal regulations regarding work area and materials in food preparation and equipment usage.
- Follow all KDHE guidelines and regulations.
- Ability to communicate and take direction well.
- Provide a safe and healthy environment for all children.
Experience:
6 months or more working with ages 0-5
