Faculty Position Information
The School of Social Work at Abilene Christian University invites applications and / or nominations for a tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Master of Science in Social Work program with appointment in August 2025. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position. Initial salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and educational degree. ACU's School of Social Work offers both the Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) and the Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) degrees. Although the successful candidate will be primarily assigned to the graduate program, they will be expected to teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The graduate program has a single specialization in Advanced Generalist Practice.

Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited or internationally-recognized social work program. An earned doctorate is highly preferred with strong consideration of ABD candidates in Social Work or a closely related field. Experience in university teaching and evidence of scholarship or scholarly potential is preferred. Teaching experience in an online modality is highly desirable.
The successful candidate must have at least two (2) years' post-MSSW practice experience. The ability to teach across the social work curriculum is expected. However, preference will be given to candidates who have strong clinical / micro-practice backgrounds. Possession of the LCSW or equivalent is highly desired.
