Position: Pediatric Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Program Assignment: Therapeutic Services
Supervisor: Director Of Therapeutic Services
Job Summary: The Pediatric BCBA, will play a vital role in delivering high-quality ABA therapy to children and adolescents. In this position, you will work both in clients' homes and at our center-based therapy center, contributing to an early intervention program that makes a real difference.
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule
Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee client-specific ABA goals and behavior intervention plans.
- Conduct comprehensive behavior assessments, including the VB-MAPP and ADOS-2, to analyze and address client needs.
- Develop, monitor, and adjust skill acquisition programs to support client progress.
- Collect and analyze data to ensure effective programming and make necessary modifications.
- Provide consultation and training to parents, offering progress updates and educational support.
- Attend weekly professional staff meetings and participate in Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings.
- Supervise and support staff within the early intervention program.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with program requirements.
- Design and implement individualized behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs tailored to the unique needs of each client.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate ABA strategies with other therapeutic approaches and services.
- Offer guidance and support to families on implementing behavior strategies and interventions in the home setting.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for parents and caregivers to enhance their understanding and skills in managing their child's behavior.
- Share knowledge and expertise with team members to promote a collaborative learning environment.
- Conduct regular reviews of client progress and therapy effectiveness to ensure high standards of care.
- Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and best practices in behavior analysis.
- Provide support and strategies for managing behavioral crises effectively and safely.
- Develop and implement crisis intervention plans as needed to address challenging behaviors.
- Engage with local community organizations and resources to enhance support networks for clients and families.
- Participate in community events to raise awareness about ABA therapy and the services provided by the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field required, Masters degree preferred
- Current Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- Licensed to practice in Connecticut
- Experience working with children with autism and special needs
- Consistent mode of travel to assigned client's session locations
Salary : $95,000 - $100,000
