Abilities Network, a multiple year winner of the Baltimore Sun’s Top Workplace award, is looking for a Program Director to provide oversight and leadership to the Community & Employment Partners program. As a Program Director you will lead a team of regional managers and work collaboratively with other departments to support the continued improvement of services. This position also works externally with stakeholders to enhance current services and processes as well as to learn new approaches and promote Abilities Network. Working closely with the leadership team and regional managers, this position leads the development and implementation of service approaches to support adults with neurodiversity work toward personalized goals by utilizing and exploring their community’s resources.
The Program Director role is a remote based position. Travel within Maryland and to the Towson, MD Headquarters is required to attend meetings and trainings. The starting annual salary for this position is $53,500 and is non-negotiable.

What will I do at Abilities Network?
- Provide leadership and supervision for a team of regional managers with a focus on service delivery oversight, service improvement and professional development that aligns with reflective and strength-based communication strategies.
- Establish systems to maintain and enhance high quality services, work with leadership to establish priorities for the program, and work with regional managers to develop and implement project plans.
- Ensure compliance with Provision of Services per COMAR.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to identify strategies to increase staff retention and engagement.
- Collaborate with other departments to monitor practices and enhance the provision of high-quality services.
- Represent Abilities Network on DDA Webinars and DDA Regional Provider meetings, sharing information learned internally and utilizing this information as appropriate.
- Actively seek out relationships with other stakeholders to learn new approaches and perspectives as well as develop opportunities for collaborating on service enhancements.
- Serve as agency/program representative on local and state subcommittees, workgroups, events, etc.
Requirements
What does Abilities Network need from me?
- Degree in Human Services related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Human Services with at least 3 years’ experience in a leadership position.
- General knowledge of quality assurance, human resources and project planning required.
- Exhibits dedication and values of supports that are person-centered and focused on growth, independence, fundamental rights of individuals with disabilities and the concept of “nothing about me without me”.
- Strong critical thinking and complex problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational, decision making and leadership skills.
- Comfortable with all types of technology i.e. proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, able to motivate others and function proactively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Maintains, models and teaches strong professional boundaries, ability to de-personalize behavior and deescalate situations.
