What are the responsibilities and job description for the Job Coach (Pre ETS) position at Abilities Services, Inc.?
Provides services to students with disabilities who are eligible or potentially eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation Services attending area schools. Duties would include job exploration counseling, work-based learning experiences, counseling on post secondary opportunities, workplace readiness training, and instruction in Self-Advocacy. This position will work a schedule in the area schools and in agency office weekly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Satisfactorily pass Criminal History Background Check
- Provide proof of current drivers license and auto insurance
- Be able to pass drug screening at any point of employment
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Working knowledge of assisting people with disabilities (after two week on the job training course)
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, SPECIAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- The employee is regularly required to sit
- Must be able to occasionally stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to pass CPR/First Aid/AED Course
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT:
- Telephone and voicemail system
- Copy machines and/or printers
- Other office equipment for special projects
- Be able to utilize a PC & IPad
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
