Your Role as a Life Skills Instructor
You will assist adults with disabilities in developing essential life skills for greater independence in residential or community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Living Support: Assist with cooking, cleaning, and transportation to appointments.
- Skill Development: Work with individuals to achieve personalized goals based on their abilities and preferences.
- Case Management: Collaborate with individuals to set and work towards goals, manage symptoms, and explore recreation opportunities.
- Community Engagement: Encourage participation in activities such as sports, movies, shopping, crafts, and more.
Promoting Independence
Provide training and opportunities to enhance independence within integrated community settings.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- No prior experience necessary.
