You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, create individualized treatment plans, and adapt activities and environments to maximize independence and safety. Your expertise in occupational therapy will enable you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.
The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist and be licensed in Connecticut. Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment is preferred. Travel is required to various group homes in the surrounding community.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess sensory motor skills, functional cognitive abilities, and mobility
- Create individualized treatment plans focusing on person-centered goals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop effective treatment strategies
- Evaluate and address wheelchair-related needs, including proper fit, posture, and mobility
- Direct the modification of equipment to promote safety and mitigate risks
