Ability Builders Consulting Co. is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Behavioral Health Technicians or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)! No experience? No problem! We provide full RBT training and certification to help you step confidently into this rewarding role.
The Behavior Health Technician plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with autism and other behavioral health challenges. This position involves implementing behavior intervention plans, collecting data on client progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality of care. The Behavior Technician will work closely with children and their families to promote positive behavior changes and improve overall well-being.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.
- Work directly with children to promote skill development and manage challenging behaviors.
- Collect and document data on client progress, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to review care plans and adjust strategies as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in developing and updating care plans that address the specific needs of each child.
- Provide support in behavioral therapy sessions, utilizing effective behavior management techniques.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills related to behavioral health.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with behavioral health challenges.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and principles.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to behavioral health settings.
- Proficiency in medical documentation practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and their application in therapeutic settings.
- Ability to develop and implement effective behavioral therapy interventions.
- Experience in creating and reviewing care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
