Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, providing support and guidance to enhance their quality of life. This role involves implementing care plans, maintaining medical documentation, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations while fostering a positive environment for our clients.
Duties
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with behavioral health challenges.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with company policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special education professionals, to develop effective treatment strategies.
- Monitor client progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising clinician.
- Assist in the development of skills for daily living and social interaction.
Experience
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral health principles and special education practices is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical documentation processes and HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for educating clients and collaborating with team members.
