Our mission is to build brighter futures for children and adults with disabilities by providing comprehensive educational, vocational and therapeutic services.
Under the general direction of licensed therapists, assists in or administers therapeutic treatment to patients. Provides supervision and carryover of functional skills in activities when not in therapy. Assists with recreational activities as needed, including planning and implementation as indicated. Under the general direction of supervisor, coordinator, and/or staff participates in and completes daily program management tasks. Orients, leads, and directs rehab technicians to carry out daily activity needs. Is contact and organizes observations for students who want to pursue a career in rehabilitation. Provides oversight, training and direction for student interns who are in academic fields such as healthcare management, exercise science, etc. Takes responsibility for planning and implementing activities for group activities of patients in adolescent and pediatric program.
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience:
- six months experience in a health care setting
Knowledge/Skills/Licensure/Certification:
- Flexibility.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is required.
- Word processing experience preferred.
