We have created a new position as a 3rd Shift DSP Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The 3rd Shift DSP Supervisor will be responsible for conducting shift meetings with overnight staff and ensure compliance with Ability Matters policies and procedures.
Attend team meetings and provide input regarding client’s needs and goals.
Ensure all incidents/accidents are reviewed and reported daily within required time guidelines and reviewed for accuracy
Serve as a professional role model and demonstrate teamwork amongst staff, clients, and other departments within the agency
Ensure that Direct Service Providers (DSPs) are treated with dignity & respect.
Exercise independent judgment and discretion with respect to expending consumer’s funds for their personal needs, furnishing food and other personal items within the parameters of their personal budget
Maintain acceptable work standards in all areas; including attendance, punctuality, and professionalism
Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters in maintaining and cleaning living units in coordination any needs with the landlord
- The Overnight Supervisor will also be required to provide direct services to our consumers throughout the week
Will take phone calls and assist DSPs or anyone else with any issues and/or concerns regarding the house and the consumers that reside there
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum High School diploma or GED, Bachelor Degree preferred
Possess and maintain First Aid/CPR (or willing to obtain)
Pass and maintain all assigned Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) training
Pass a background and drug test
Possess and maintain a clean driving record
Prior experience working with individuals with MRDD/DODD (preferred)
Must be able to work days, evenings, overnights and/or weekends based upon the needs of the designated site
Must be able to receive emergency communication during non-traditional work time. This may require finding staff coverage, answering client focused questions, and/or covering shifts when necessary
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises overnight employees. Carries supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Ability Matters’ policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees on performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Salary : $18 - $22
