Human Resources Administrative Assistant
At Ability Matters, we’re looking for an organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our Human Resources team. If you have strong communication skills and are eager to contribute to a mission-driven organization, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
The HR Assistant will assist with day-to-day HR tasks, including employee compliance, recruiting, and onboarding new hires. You'll work closely with our team to ensure smooth operations and help make a difference in the lives of adults with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and organizing employee compliance files to ensure alignment with State of Ohio, DODD, and company policies.
- Assisting with recruitment efforts, providing support throughout the hiring process.
- Managing new hire onboarding processes.
- Leading new hire orientation to help integrate new team members smoothly.
- Working directly with consumers 2 days per week.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks.
- Pass
a background check and drug test.
- A clean driving record with fewer than six (6) points.
