Job Details Summary Job Description Our Internal Medicine Residency program located at the Jefferson Abington campus is seeking a Primary Care Internist and Clinician Educator to work with our rotating Internal Medicine residents in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal applicant will be a member of the Core Faculty with the Internal Medicine Residency program in the Department of Medicine, and a major component of this position will be educating our internal medicine residents. Responsibilities: Attending on a teaching only/Resident staffed inpatient team, clinical hours within the ambulatory outpatient internal medicine practice, as well as time spent precepting in the outpatient resident clinic Provides primary care medical services and consultation to patients with multiple co-morbidities and behavioral health issues. Focus on providing quality care to patients while reducing overall healthcare costs delivering quality care with a customized patient experience. Supervises and provides teaching services for residents, medical students, and other trainees, as designated by the Clinical Director and the Division Chair. Properly executes/prepares documentation that pertains to medical billing and patient coding. Works with office manager, RNs, social work, outreach coordinators to perform and document necessary clinical components to ensure care gaps are addressed and closed. Provides each resident with timely feedback and evaluation. Engages in evidence-based strategies to maintain and improve patient experience.
