Abington Middle School is looking for a LTS Grade 6 teacher who values equity and social emotional learning and provides access to engaging learning experiences for all students. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated success in building and sustaining strong relationships with students and families, and value ongoing collaboration with colleagues. A solid understanding of grade level standards is required. An ability to provide strong, targeted Tier 1 interventions and a commitment to individualized instruction is preferred.
Ideal candidates will have experience with either Restorative Practices or Responsive Classroom and believe that behavior is a form of communication.
