The Special Education Team Chair coordinates and facilitates all aspects of the special education process, including IEP development, Team meetings, and compliance with state and federal regulations. This role involves effective communication with parents, staff, and outside agencies; supporting pre-referral processes; conducting or coordinating evaluations; and overseeing accurate and timely documentation. The Team Chair ensures the coordination of services, consults with educators and service providers, and uses technology to manage data and maintain student records at both elementary schools. The position also requires collaboration with school and district leadership to address student needs and may include maintaining a student caseload as needed.
