The Warehouse Packer/Forklift Operator is a critical role within the Abita Brewing Company, responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of products throughout the warehouse. • Place filled bottles on a conveyor belt with precision and accuracy
• Fold boxes to prepare them for filling with product, adhering to company standards
• Operate a forklift in a safe and orderly manner, maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Maintain the production pace of other team members, while prioritizing quality and efficiency
Working Conditions:
This role involves standing for long periods, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. It also requires routine pushing, pulling, reaching, upper body and arm rotation, arm extension, and climbing ladders. The ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (ear plugs, gloves, boots, etc.) is essential.
Education/Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with the ability to pass a forklift driving skills test. Knowledge of safe work operations, safety policies, and procedures is also essential. The successful candidate will be able to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
